Elijah’s First Hair Cut!
This was Elijah’s first hair cut since birth! He’s about 22 months in these photos.
Below is everything in between!
He got his cut from Hair Story V on PCH in Torrance.
Elijah and the Sink
I sat Elijah at the edge of the sink soI could wash some seaweed. Before I had turned on the water he reached his hand toward the faucet – I think because he remembers something comes out of there.
Elijah’s Crawl
Elijah noticeably creeped/crawled for the second time today. Recently I realized he was beginning to be intentional about moving so today I put him at one corner of the bed and his toys at the diagonal corner.
He took a while to coax. I played with the toys and made a ruckus and he stared intently at them. Then he started. At moments he would try and become frustrated or take a rest. Then he would become determined again.
He can’t control his direction very well yet. Maybe because he keeps his head down and his legs are doing most of the work. But he will prop himself up with his elbows and sorta scan and reevaluate.
He got within a foot of the toys and he really was about to give up. I gave his feet a little nudge and he propelled forward and grabbed a toy and put it straight in his mouth. He seemed content. He wanted his toy! That’s a first.
Milestones
Elijah turned 5 months old on Saturday! He’s doing some new stuff…
Griffith Observatory
Saturday we went to pick up Elijah’s photos from Sunset and Shin took us to the Griffith Observatory. It was Elijah’s and my first time there.
100th Day Photos
Tummy Time
100 Days
Elijah recently celebrated his 100th day of life, a celebration called “Baik Il” because many babies didn’t survive to see this day in old world Korea. So we got portaits taken, which I’ll post shortly. After coming home from the studio Shin decided to do our own portaits at home in the kitchen (he wanted to take them and not be IN them). These will be some precious memories someday:
Elijah Coos
SCROLL DOWN FOR BACKDATED POSTS! 🙂
This weekend we noticed a remarkable increase in baby’s cooing. He had a whole conversation with dad Sunday morning!
